Happy new year 2014! I wish that you all have a great year! Japanese has a custom to eat "soba" (buckwheat noodles) at December 31st. There are several reasons. One is that you can live longer like soba which is long. The other one is that you can kick the bad habit because soba is easily to cut. And the other one is that you can be healthy because buckwheat is resistant the elements.
I made and ate handmade soba at dinner on Dec 31st to wish a happy new year!!
